First committee drafts for vote (CDVs) of IEC 61850 Edition 2 have been published:
- Part 6 (57/919/CDV) - Configuration description language (SCL) (ballot: 2008-07-11)
- Part 7-1 (57/942/CDV) - Basic communication structure - Principles and models (ballot: 2008-10-10)
- Part 7-2 (57/945/CDV) - Abstract communication service interface (ACSI) (ballot: 2008-10-24)
- Part 7-3 (57/953/CDV) - Common data classes (ballot: 2008-11-07)
- Part 7-4 (57/941/CDV) - Compatible logical node classes and data classes (ballot: 2008-10-10)
New drafts for comments and vote of IEC 61400-25 Communications for monitoring and control of wind power plants are published:
- Part 25-4 (88/318/FDIS) - Mapping to communication profile (ballot: 2008-08-01)
- Part 25-6 (88/316/CDV) - Logical nodes and data for condition monitoring (ballot: 2008-10-03)

首先是模型本身的 Schema语法修正了
模型增加了新的CDC类型 ENC ENS ENG
增加了新的逻辑节点类型
数据属性的类型也有改动
IEC61850-6部分对于工程化配置流程进一步的细化细分 增加IID SED文件
